InteriorDecorating.com Year of DIY Projects
Patchwork Vase - This month our fabric scrap project features an empty wine bottle, mod podge and some leftover fabric. Expect to spend 30 minutes to complete the project plus allow another 30 minutes or so of drying time. See all our Fabric Projects >>
Gather Supplies
• Fabric
• Scissors
• Wine Bottle (any bottle will do)
• Mod Podge
• Paintbrush or sponge brush
Step-by-Step
Step 1. Cut your fabric into any shape and size. We chose to cut ours into squares using pinking shears.
Step 2. Coat the entire bottle with mod podge. Then begin placing your scrap pieces onto the bottle and coating with mod podge as you go. Check to make sure edges are glued flat. Tip: We created even edges around the top and bottom first and then filled in the rest in an overlapping pattern.
Step 3. Embellish to your taste. We added some trim and other fabric cut-outs.
