Lace Fabric

The art of lace making is an ancient craft, dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. Back then, lace was made of linen, silk, or even silver and gold. Today however, lace is typically made of cotton or with synthetic fibers. Lace is made by threading, twisting, or braiding threads without attaching to a backing. Lace is commonly used for trim on apparel, decorative pillows, sheets, and bedspreads.
