Traverse Rods
On January 12, 1926 Dickran M. Sarkisian of Forest Hills, NY received a patent for the first practical traverse rod. It was his traverse rod that finally allowed not only the hanging but the ease of movement of heavy designer draperies. Today well chosen drapery hardware, used with imagination and taste, can add a dramatic decorative touch to any window covering or room. Use drapery rods as you would jewelry, in creating enhancing decorative eye candy to complete the look of your room.
