Quilting Fabrics

Quilting began as an activity to use up the scrap pieces of fabric in order to keep them from going to waste. These scraps were once taken from used and torn clothing but today, can be taken from manufacturer remnants or a yard or more of a favorite print. Quilting material is typically bold prints or solid colors in a cotton fabric, but quilts can utilize any material including fleece, flannel, soft denim, and many other types of quilting fabric.
